Great combo for any business
It’s no longer going to be business as usual for any us, even with restrictions being lifted.
People will still be working in multiple locations, using different devices and applications and with a mix of business IT hardware, laptops and other mobile ‘bring your own devices’ (BYOD).
It’s going to be essential that we have simple ways to stay connected and organised, which is what applications within Microsoft 365 are specifically designed to do for any size business.
Two of them – Microsoft Teams (hyperlink ) and Outlook – are integrated so you can organise your appointments and workload wherever you are located.
Teams is the hub for general communications within your business and Outlook is where you keep your personal communications and plan your work commitments.
To help coordinate your working day, Outlook makes it simple to create a new meeting and add the meeting details with a single click or toggle to turn on Teams Meetings.
Outlook will automatically send notifications when it is time to join meetings which can be helpful if you’re distracted at home or in the workplace.
You also have the option to use the new ‘quick join’ button if you need a fast and reliable way to connect to meetings.
If you need to step out and attend an online meeting on your mobile phone, you can. When you first create a New Event or open a Teams Meeting on your Outlook calendar, you will be prompted to add the app to your mobile device.
With your mobile, you can now edit a Teams Meeting series from Outlook as well as accept, view and propose new times to meet.
You can quickly convert any email into a Teams Meeting by selecting ‘Convert to Meeting or Event’ as an option when you reply to an email on your phone.
Many of today’s business conversations are digital and fluid, with different people entering and leaving conversations. Sometimes you may want to share the details of a digital conversation with other employees or business associates.
You can share Teams Chat messages with your Outlook email contacts with the ‘Share to Outlook’ option.
